Dutchman's Stern Conservation Park Working Bee
At The Old Homestead
Dutchman's Stern Conservation Park
Trip Leader: Paul Shinks
Degree of Difficulty: Moderate.
Some sections of the track can be challenging on the Sunday Drive but good fun! This trip is limited to 10 cars only. Lots of walking and work, so sturdy walking boots are a must. If you have a favourite pair of sturdy working gloves, please bring them. We will be clearing box thorn and wheel cactus in particular. There is no need to bring any tools as we have our own. Hat, long sleeves, long pants and sun screen are a must. As we will be doing a lot of walking, you will need to have a packed lunch to take with you in the car. On Sunday we will do a bit more work and then drive out to the very scenic World’s End which is a fantastic drive which can be a challenging but fun drive for the smaller vehicles.
On Saturday we usually work very hard and then retire to have a very sociable happy hour until late. Bring finger food for a shared dinner.
Accommodation: There is accommodation available in shared rooms, but you must bring your own bedding. The Old Homestead also has a fridge, gas stove, microwave oven, hot showers and NO FEES.This is a Family Friendly Trip.
