The 2-way radio channel normally used by the Subaru 4WD Club is UHF Ch 10.

With the introduction a couple of years ago of 80 channel UHF radios, more channels are available for general use. The special use channels between Ch 1 and Ch 40 have not changed.

4WD Users10Generally used by 4WD Clubs and groups
Caravanners & Campers 18Holiday makers and travelers when in convoy and in national parks
Highway Communications40Mainly used by truck drivers and other regular highway users. Language may be rather strong
Emergency Calling5Can only be used in an emergency
Repeaters
Established by Law
1 - 8; 41-48Used in Duplex Mode to widen the area of communication through a repeater station. Will occupy 2 channels when in use, eg. 1 & 31; up to 8 & 38. Should be avoided unless in an emergency
Data Transmission22 & 23No voice transmissions allowed on these two channels
Reserved31-38; 61-63; 71-78Reserved for repeaters and future expansion - do not use
